As some of you know, split screen just plainly sucks and often times is just unplayable. I am currently playing with my friend while we just sit around and have fun, but anytime we so much as: spell cast, watch the enemy spell cast, fast travel, open inventory, trigger a spontaneous cutscene, etc. the game crashes.
Crashing when player 2 joins is an entirely separate issue unfortunately lol There are work-arounds for it. What people are experiencing now is that any time both players have kind of menu open at the same time, the game is likely to freeze for several minutes and then crash your entire console.
