Camel hump heads
The "041" head was a 1969-1970 high performance head, with the same exact performance characteristics as both the "186" and "187" Camel (double) Hump heads. It also is a 64 cc combustion chamber. It was available from the factor with both 1.94/1.5 and 2.02/1.6 valves, just depended upon which vehicle GM put them in.

The vortec heads are better in every way unless you have free double bump heads and have to pay for the vortec's. If you flow the early GM heads and flow the vortec heads and compare the numbers. The big difference is in the chamber shape.
67/68 Camaro's were short water pump engines that did not require accessory holes in the heads. 69 Camaro's were long water pump engines that only required one bolt hole in the passenger side head. (even though each head had 3 drilled and tapped holes on both ends of the head. L82 cam is good for about 5800-6000 RPM and a minimum of 9.0/1 CR.
