So I'd highly suggest checking all ancients and stop with that item once you found near-perfect ancient. That way you can craft another item from captain crimson's with similar quality.

Primal Ancients are much rarer than Ancient items, which in turn are much rare than normal Legendary items. To put things into perspective, each Legendary drop after completing a level 70 Solo Greater Rift has a 10% chance to be an Ancient, and each Ancient has a 2.5% chance to be a Primal.
